The Fort Wayne music scene is constantly producing promising new bands and artists that push the boundaries of how “Fort Wayne music” is defined.

One such band is My Soul’s Revolution. Formed about nine months ago, the band hit the ground running by performing their first show at the HeART of the City art and music festival in July. Successive gigs at many of the city’s finer local venues have helped establish their reputation as a talented, promising, and unpredictable band. Each show turns out to be a unique experience since they have been known to break into spontaneous jams from time to time.

MSR is releasing their debut album, At Witt’s End, at a show that also features Kerosec, Element:Indigo, and 98.9 The Bear House Band finalists HazenSol. Blending blues rock, funk, and modern alternative rock into a unique and eclectic sound, with influences ranging from Victor Wooten to Foo Fighters and Bone Thugs & Harmony, My Soul’s Revolution are on a mission to add some spice and variety to the Three Rivers area. Jan. 11 at O’Sullivan’s will not only be the first opportunity to take this band’s music home with you but also a chance to be at the forefront of the revolution. — Chris Hupe
