After you rest up from the Three Rivers Festival, you’ll want to take the family out to the Allen County Fairgrounds from July 23-28 for the 30th annual Allen County Fair. This year’s theme is “Timeless Fun” and there is going to be plenty of it as the fair offers a ton of activities that will appeal to just about everyone.

Since it’s an agriculture-focused event, you expect to see animals, animal shows, projects, and events. But you’re also going to find a full food court, carnival rides, and a lengthy list of special events.

A Health & Wellness Fair offers wellness information, screenings, and speakers on Tuesday, the same day kids can take free rides on monster trucks. Art & Music Night is slated for Wednesday with an interactive art installation and “make and take” activities for kids followed by the ever-popular potbelly pig races. Thursday is Kids’ Day with free activities that include balloon art, crafts, animal shows, cookie stacking, and pizza eating.

Friday features a circus sideshow, a truck pull, and a cruise-in with music provided by Biff & The Cruisers. Saturday’s highlights include a demolition derby and a watermelon eating contest, while Sunday wraps things up with a homegrown and homemade market plus outhouse racing.
