Do you like heavy metal? Do you like grilling? Then you are going to love True Metal Grilling

Hosted by local guitar virtuoso Justin Zych, this parody grilling show provides tips on how to grill, smoke, and prepare all sorts of tasty foods.

“We created this because people love to grill and love metal, so why not combine them?” Zych said. “We only have a couple episodes thus far, but more are on the way, so be ready.”

These entertaining videos are full of sound effects, spiked leather armbands, beer, headbanging, and swords. In one episode, Zych minces garlic with a four-foot Viking sword. In addition, Zych writes, performs, and produces all of the music on the shows with producing and mixing credits going to Dan Wagoner and Nick Henney. Look for True Metal Grilling on YouTube to find episodes on ribs, pizza on the grill, and spicy mayo.

In other Zych news, his band Zephaniah recently took to YouTube, as well, with a remote video of the band performing Iron Maiden’s “Hallowed Be Thy Name.”

Have a ball at Flashback

In a time where Hoosiers are masking up in order to slow the spread of the virus, it’s only fitting to host a MASKerade Ball.

On Friday, Aug. 14, get to Flashback Live for the biggest party possible this summer. The MASKerade Ball will get going at 9 p.m. and will have cash prizes for the three best masks: First prize is $125, second prize is $75, and third prize is $50.

Sipping and Skating

The Roller Dome North will be hosting another Sip-N-Skate on the evening of Sunday, Aug. 16. This 21 and over event allows patrons the opportunity to throw on some skates and enjoy an adult beverage. Sounds like the perfect pairing.

The event runs from 9 p.m.-midnight and will cost you $8 admission.
