Linda Jackson is doing exactly what she's always wanted to do and what she hopes she can always do. Perhaps that's the quality that helped her earn the year's Whammy for Favorite TV Personality for the third year in a row.

"I am completely honored. I'm serious. whatzup is a fun publication, and it's always fun to be a presenter at the Whammy Awards. The people are so nice." Despite proving she had never actually met Mr. whatzup, Jackson went on to say there is never any jealousy among her fellow nominees in this category.

"We always congratulate each other," Jackson said, referring to fellow nominees such as Melissa Long and Heather Herron. Always the community booster, Jackson said she is most proud of her station's service to that community.

"Take the recent coverage of the big snow storm," she said. "From the weather department to the news teams, we're all happy to be of service. That's what my business is about. Proud to be of service."

A Hoosier born and bred, Jackson grew up in Peru, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She anchors Indiana's NewsCenter on NBC at 5:30 p.m., Prime News at 10 p.m. on The CW (Comcast Channel 19) and Indiana's NewsCenter at 11 p.m. on NBC. (Alex Vagelatos)
