Chris Worth cuts an impressive figure on stage. Things only get better when he starts singing. With his voice that reaches to the top of the Himalayas, Worth’s CD, Just a Smile Away, earned him the Best Non-Rock CD Release Whammy. As part of the duo, Chris & Paul (Paul being Paul Stewart), Worth has turned a growing segment of Fort Wayne into fans.

And fans they should be. Worth has performed all over the country and for a time sang backup with Earth, Wind & Fire. But following a subsequent tour as a headliner, a tour he didn’t much care for, he backed away from singing. A chance evening at Crooner’s, the karaoke bar at Piere’s, and a chance meeting with Stewart, brought him back.

Getting nominated for a Whammy, let alone winning, was something Worth appreciated.

“It’s an honor and a privilege,” he said. He performed impressively at the show with Bosco on keyboards.

Since picking up the microphone again, Worth has kept busy. Chris & Paul work at least five nights a week, filling places like Bill’s Bistro and Eddie Merlot’s with an impressive array of R&B and pop hits.
