SUGGESTIONS FOR PERFORMERS

1.  Get your entry in as quickly as possible. Not only do you qualify for a $15 discount off the $40 entry fee if you enter before 5 p.m. Friday, April 1, but you also get the first crack at set times.

2.  The set times you choose are important. Bands that perform first or last tend not to do as well in audience voting due to crowd members arriving late or leaving early.

3.  Turn out your fans!! Although we've modified scoring procedures to give judges a little more say in the results, crowd votes still have much more weight in determining who wins each round. If you can't bring people out, you can't advance.

4.  Tell your fans to leave the judges alone. Fans trying to influence the judges is almost guaranteed to backfire.
